Fujitsu UMPC concept resurfaces at WinHEC, that instance with specs
Filed under: Handhelds, Tablet PCs
Although it’s waded into the water with their “ultra-portable” machines before, Fujitsu hasn’t yet taken the jump into the as-yet unproven UMPC market — although it’s been rumored to be working on a device for some duration now. That looks to be changing, however, as the folks by at Winfuture have managed to score some pics and specs of Fujitsu’s latest concept at WinHEC. Featuring an 800MHz Intel Sealey processor, 1GB RAM, a 40GB disk, two cameras, a 5.6-inch 1024 x 600 display, and an optional 7-hour battery, the 1.1-pound effort won’t win any design awards but certainly looks, uh, sturdy. No word on pricing or availability, but we spotted that thing at Intel’s Developer Forum last month classed as a “professional” device, so you’d better start saving those pennies.
